With An Extra Hour...

I often tell myself "I would do that if there were more hours in the day or more days in the week." By "that," I mean things like learning how to play the piano, reading a long list of books, volunteering, becoming fluent in another language, and a lot of things that I would like to do, but am not able to do because having 24 hours in a day forces me to limit activity, acknowledge priorities, and make decisions.

The headline for this news article article reads "Days may have 25 hours in near future due to Earth's decelerating rotation." I was really excited at the thought that I might have the opportunity to do some of the things that I have always told myself I would do if I had more time. Upon reading the article, you will find that it says: "That is why in the far future there will be 25 hours in a day." I don't know why the headline would say something that directly contradicts the article's content, but if you read the article in its entirety, you will find that "far future" is an understatement regarding the year that we will go to 25-hour days. What a let-down!

Who am I kidding anyways? I know that if I had another hour in my day I would spend most of the extra hours sleeping or being lazy. What would you do?

One more hour would likely translate into more work and expectation.

If I had my way, I'd sleep or read.
